Practice with the Pros is a three day camp that will cover all aspects of the game with the people who have done it for a living. Special Guest Instructors will include major league infielder Miguel Cairo, former major league catcher Mike Difelice, former major league pitcher Travis Phelps, along with long time minor league pitchers Jeff Ciszcowski, Mike Eby, and John Wesley. Joining them will be long time Cardinals Scout Steve Turco, minor league player/manager Roy Silver, and the former Athletic Trainer with the Toronto Blue Jays Randy Holland. These eight instructors combine for more than 120 years professional experience.
The camp runs from Friday January 23rd to Sunday January 25th and will end with a coach critiqued game where the coaches will provide on field instruction during the game. The Camp will cover stretching, agility, weight training, injury prevention. Each player will receive a personalized training manual. Skill stations include hitting, infield, outfield, pitching, catching, and base running. Each participant may select one or more of the skill stations to work on.
The schedule will be Friday 12:30pm to 6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am to 3:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 3:00pm.
The cost is just $295.00 and members of the Clearwater Adult League will receive a 10% discount. Included in the cost is lunch, game day shirt, cap, and a ton of fun.
